What We Learned at FIELD STYLE TOKYO 2026 About Outdoor Life in Japan🏕️
May 29, 2026
Earlier this month, LITEFAR exhibited at FIELDSTYLE TOKYO 2026 — the first edition of Japan’s largest outdoor lifestyle festival to be held at Tokyo Big Sight.
Following our debut at FIELDSTYLE EXPO 2025 in Nagoya, we returned with a clearer intention: not only to showcase our smart electric wagons, but also to better understand how outdoor mobility is experienced in Japan’s everyday outdoor culture.
What we discovered went beyond product feedback. It revealed a deeper set of expectations around usability, space efficiency, and how outdoor gear fits into real life.
Compact Yet Surprisingly Capable📦
One of the strongest reactions at our booth came when visitors saw how much Orion could carry while still maintaining such a compact footprint.
Loaded with multiple product boxes and outdoor gear, Orion moved smoothly through the crowded aisles without feeling bulky or difficult to control. Many visitors were genuinely surprised by how well it balanced cargo capacity with compact, practical design.
This point felt especially relevant in Japan, where outdoor users often need gear that fits into smaller cars, limited parking spaces, and tighter campsite layouts. For many people, portability and storage efficiency are just as important as carrying performance.
Orion’s folding structure was designed with this balance in mind: strong carrying capability when in use, and space-efficient storage when the journey is over.
Visitors paid close attention to details such as:
- Four-Way Folding structure
- Solid rubber tires
- Battery housed inside the frame pillar
- Compact folded size: 30 × 25 × 80 cm
For outdoor users in Japan, gear needs to fit naturally into everyday spaces without compromising usability outdoors.
Seeing this level of attention reminded us of something we strongly believe: good outdoor products should not feel complicated, oversized, or intrusive. They should become a natural part of everyday outdoor life.
First Time With a Remote-Controlled Wagon⚡
For many visitors, FIELD STYLE TOKYO 2026 was their first time experiencing a remote-controlled outdoor wagon in person. What immediately stood out was how naturally Orion moved alongside the user. Instead of manually pulling heavy gear, visitors could guide the wagon remotely while walking comfortably beside it.
Many people intentionally tested turning response, low-speed control, and maneuverability in tighter exhibition spaces to simulate real outdoor environments. Even when fully loaded, the wagon remained smooth and easy to control. These demonstrations helped visitors quickly grasp Orion's biggest advantage: reducing physical effort while improving transport efficiency — whether for camping, outdoor festivals, or everyday trips.
Families Loved It Immediately👨👩👧👦
One of the most memorable parts of the exhibition was seeing how naturally families interacted with Orion. During the demonstrations, children were immediately drawn to the wagon, while parents closely observed its stability, wheel movement, and overall handling response.
These reactions highlighted an important point: large carrying capacity alone is not enough. A truly useful outdoor wagon also needs to feel stable, intuitive, and easy to maneuver in real-world environments.
At the same time, many experienced outdoor users paid close attention to practical details such as wheel structure, turning performance, and storage efficiency after folding.
Outdoor Products Should Feel Natural to Use
One of the most valuable parts of FIELDSTYLE JAPAN was simply listening.
The event gave us the opportunity to observe how people interact with outdoor products in a very thoughtful way — not just through specifications, but through experience, comfort, and practicality.
It reminded us that outdoor mobility is not only about moving heavier loads more easily. It is also about creating products that feel approachable, quiet, intuitive, and enjoyable to use in real outdoor environments.
As LITEFAR continues developing smart electric wagons, experiences like FIELDSTYLE JAPAN help us better understand how outdoor lifestyles differ across regions — and how thoughtful design can support those experiences more naturally.
The outdoor season has begun.
A great camping season is here — and it’s time to get outside, carry more, and explore with less effort.
Let’s set off with LITEFAR.
